Facebook ups ante in war with Google for web domination

StaredownAt its most recent developers conference, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg stated that ‘the web was at a turning point’ and he expects it to turn in his direction, and away from arch-rival Google. Zuckerberg’s contention is that direction-finding on the web will increasingly be steered by recommendations from one’s social network, which would put his company in the driver’s seat.
