In Canada, gambling 4x as popular as going to the movies

HockeyHeadsWith the puck having officially dropped on this year’s NHL playoffs, Statistics Canada has dropped some interesting numbers. For instance, the average Canadian household that spent any money on gambling last year spent 4x the amount they spent on movie tickets. Another study by administrative staffing outfit Office Team found that 56% of managers felt NHL-related workplace surfing actually boosted employee morale, and 75% didn’t feel that said surfing negatively affected productivity. But if fisticuffs ever erupt over by the water cooler, the two combatants are given fighting majors and made to sit in the supply closet for five minutes. Read more.
