Florida introduces intrastate poker bill, world shrugs

You know Easter is coming when common sense starts threatening to rise from the dead. Florida State Rep. Joseph Abruzzo has introduced the Internet Poker Consumer Protection and Revenue Generation Act, a piece of legislation designed to legalize and tax intrastate poker. Sadly, in keeping with the Easter theme, it won’t be long before Abruzzo is duly condemned and crucified by narrow-minded zealots, and the bill joins a host of other pieces of forward-looking legislation on the ashpile of history.
