The opening day of the North American Poker Tour’s first stop proved to be a resounding success with many of the world’s finest pokerati among the 872 runners who each stumped up $5,000 for a place at the tables of the Venetian poker rooms and a stab at fame and fortune. Chris Moneymaker was living up to his name as he moved into fourth place by the end of Day 1. Not that you’d know it, judging by his expression. Read more.
