For some time, Greece and England have engaged in a war of words over possession of what’s known as the Elgin Marbles, a collection of ancient Greek sculptures that one Lord Elgin cut down and shipped to England a few centuries back. Now English MEP Sir Robert Atkins has suggested kicking the Greeks in the marbles over a completely unrelated and thoroughly modern matter – the prevention of Stanleybet and other foreign gaming operators from offering services to Greek punters.
