girlwithipodWhile the jury is still out on whether many countries will move to an accommodating stance towards online gambling, a new wave of mobile technology is rapidly moving to the forefront. Hand held mobile devices with internet access have become as common-place as owning a cell phone. With full access to the complete online world in the palms of so many people, a new vast and profitable market for online gaming in all its forms has emerged.

People can now access online gambling sites from almost anywhere. The comfort and convenience enjoyed by the millions of online gamblers who are able access poker rooms, casino tables and slots from the friendly confines of their homes has now been taken one step further with such new innovations as the Iphone, Ipod and now the Apple Ipad. Read more.

No longer do players have to use computers which ultimately limits where they can access the internet, players can access their online gaming sites while on the bus, while waiting in the line at the bank or while getting a lap dance…If they so choose.

This opens up the door to a multi billion dollar market just waiting to be capitalized upon by online gaming operators. Currently, the vast majority of online gaming operators and mobile operators aren’t quite equipped to offer the complete gaming experience and download limitations also remain as a slight stumbling block. Couple that with the uncertain legislative environment in many countries in regards to online gambling and you have a market that is not quite virgin, but nowhere near call girl status.

My sense is that other technological entities will follow suit and produce their own versions of the Ipad, a handy portable glorified Iphone, and soon like laptops, pretty much everyone will have one. And what will people be doing with these devices when they’re bored? They’ll be going online, surfing the net, listening to music, playing video games, going into chat rooms and of course, they’ll be gambling. The online gaming companies that position themselves to both offer tailored games and facilitate downloading on the browsers of these new devices will see their hold of the gaming market share grow. Essentially, technology is making it easier not for people just get online and play, but to stay online longer. It doesn’t take a Sherlock Holmes to realize the more people that have access to your gaming site and the longer they stay on the site will increase the profitability of your product. That my dear Watson, is elementary.
