Leak-lo: Lindsay Lohan Playboy photos leaked

This time last year, it was none other than Calvin Ayre who was featured prominently in Playboy. Twelve months later, it’s troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan‘s turn to put on (or take off, depending on your perspective) the rabbit ears. Lindsay reportedly received $1m for her photo shoot with the magazine, while Calvin wasn’t paid a cent. In fact, he had to buy Playboy’s somewhat clingy writer drinks all night, but we digress…

Calvin has long been a fan of Lindsay’s work, and remains convinced that she’s but one juicy film role away from a comeback (assuming she manages to, um, keep her nose clean, stop violating her probation and stay out of the big house long enough to make it to a film set every morning). Hopefully this extra exposure (no pun intended) will help keep her name in the minds of producers and casting agents, because the girl really is talented.

The Playboy cover was (purposely?) leaked onto the web earlier this week, but some enterprising Eastern Europeans managed to get hold of the inner images, and now the cork is officially out of the bottle. Playboy has since decided to push up the issue’s release date to capitalize on the ensuing media brouhaha. In the meantime, enjoy this sample…

Lindsay Lohan Posing for Playboy Magazine

After what seemed like forever, Lindsay Lohan has finally agreed to pose for Playboy Magazine. For years, the magazine has offered her everything from money to creative rights and everything else in between just to get her to pose for them. Sadly, she kept on turning them down. But now her tune has suddenly changed as she agreed to do the shoot for just under $1 million.

The Hugh Hefner and Co. empire initially wanted to pay her $750K for the shoot but she turned it down and was ready to walk away but they made her a second offer that was much closer to the amount she originally asked for and just like that, she signed the dotted line.

Now times have been rough for the hard partying princess and with her probation getting revoked last week, seems like things aren’t get any better any time soon. Bail bondsmen don’t pay themselves you know so she’s gotta do what she’s gotta do and take offers like this while she can.

But let’s look at the bigger picture here gentlemen. Yes she’s a hard-partying-heavy-drinking-necklace-stealing-probation-violating-junkie, but she’s got one bangin’ bikini bod. She’s not bad, not bad at all. Sure she drinks and parties hard, so do we! We live by the Gamblin’, Drinkin’ and Carryin’ On mantra. In addition, for her to grace the cover and to see her on the spread of Playboy Magazine, Im sure we won’t be caring much about the write up. I say, no more write ups or Interviews or any shit like that. We need pictures. Lot’s of them.

German Women’s National Soccer Team poses for Playboy

The German female soccer team has once and for all put to rest the myth that German soccer girls are man-like. There’s nothing butch or masculine about these girls and to prove it, five members of the team posed for German Playboy.

German female athletes aren’t generally regarded as the most dainty birds, but this photo shoot changes all of that. Imagine ripped, finely tuned bodies, glistening with sweat and playing with balls. Yeah, it was all that and a Pilsner!

Aside from providing delicious eye candy for millions of men, the publicity of the photo shoot will give more attention to the upcoming women’s world cup, which, sadly, will still probably take second place as far as importance to the Playboy shoot.

From the pictures that I have heavily scrutinized, there’s a lot of touching, there’s some sensual poses and yes, thankfully, nipples make their appearance.

After observing the German National team in these sensual poses, I have realized two things:

1. I don’t watch enough women’s soccer

2. I need to plan a trip to Germany to take in the women’s world cup.

This photo shoot let’s many men on a little secret that many of us have known for years. That secret is that while most men spend time looking at sexy models and hot celebrities, the sexiest women out there are female athletes.

Think about it. They’re always in shape, their bodies are exquisite, they’re aggressive, they’re highly competitive, they have a high pain tolerance, they love sports, and they probably have more stamina off field than you can imagine.

Needless to say, watching female tennis players in 3D has given me a new appreciation for the sport. Now if only Playboy can get the rest of the women’s national teams around the world to pose for Playboy.

Harris calls off wedding to Hefner

At eighty five years old, Hugh Hefner was finally ready to settle down and tie the knot with his beautiful playboy bunny, 25 year old Crystal Harris. The fairytale wedding was supposed to take place this Saturday.

Hefner’s tweet yesterday saying “The wedding is off. Crystal has had a change of heart” sent shockwaves through the internet universe. Change of heart? Was she cheating on Hefner? Was she playing the Playboy? Harris has since squashed rumors that she was cheating on Hefner with a younger man, in Jordan McGraw, the songwriter and son of TV’s Dr. Phil McGraw.

If it were true, wouldn’t that be something? Imagine seeing Hef on Dr. Phil with Harris and Dr. Phil’s son trying to sort out their love triangle. I’m sure Dr. Phil would spend most of his time talking to Hef.

Despite Hefner’s tweet, spin doctors have since re-written the script to say that it was a mutual break-up and that it was an amicable split up and that both Hefner and Harris are now relieved that it’s over.

It’s hard to buy that. They were a few days away from being married and she called it off. She’s basically a runaway bride. It’s hard to understand how that split could be mutual.

Harris has reportedly already moved out of the Playboy Mansion closing the chapter on what may have been Hefner’s last attempt to get hitched. He’d been married twice before, turns out third time proved unlucky.

No matter how you look at this, it’s a sad story. If Hefner can’t seal the deal at 85 then there’s little hope for any of trying to do the same.
Of course, now we can ask the obvious question, like why get married at all at 85 years old?

Perhaps what I’m really asking is whether there’s a cut-off date for getting married.

For example, there’s a cut-off date for when men are allowed to date high-schoolers. There’s no cut off date for trying to snag Playboy Bunnies though.

But what about marriage? Is there an age when a playboy must accept he’s a playboy for life? Is there an age when marriage doesn’t make sense? Is it at 90? Is it at 100?

When Hefner first proposed to Harris on Christmas Eve he shared his joy via Twitter that “When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears, this is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory.”

Hef was really trying to turn in his player card. It’s sad. You just hope this type of thing does n’t keep the original Playboy down, nobody needs their heart broken at 85.

DWTS pro Karina Smirnoff poses nude for Playboy

If you had betting odds on which member of the Dancing With the Stars Season 12 cast, would be posing for Playboy, who would you pick? Swimsuit model Petra Nemcova immediately comes to mind and aside from Kirstie Alley, there’s a lot of tight bodies on the show that would look great on a Playboy centerfold, particularly professional dancer Karina Smirnoff.

Ukrainian ballroom champ Karina Smirnoff has the body of a goddess and now she’s thankfully showing it off by posing nude on the pages of Playboy. She must have been having a few chats with lovely Kendra Wilkinson.

I like where DWTS 12 is going and I hope producers of the show thinking like I’m thinking. I don’t think I’m alone on this when I say I personally wouldn’t complain if DWTS continued to cast former and current Playboy models, exclusively from now on.

In fact, the show can do one better and cut out all male contestants, and substitute them with female porn professionals. It’s just a suggestion.

Yesterday, the original playboy himself tweeted “The May issue of Playboy is unforgettable with ‘Dancing With The Stars” Karina Smirnoff on the cover & nude inside.”

With all the 84-year-old Hugh Hefner has seen, if Hef says it’s unforgettable, it must be legit.

You need a doctor’s note to attend Calvin Ayre’s 50th birthday bash

Some of you may recall that CalvinAyre.com had its official launch on May 25, 2010, which just so happened to be Calvin Ayre’s 49th birthday. A party to celebrate both these occasions was held in Prague during the iGaming Super Show. No less an authority than Playboy magazine would later describe this little shindig as “a surreal party with a bizarre mix of post-apocalyptic movie characters, statuesque European models, midgets and live pigs.” And Calvin didn’t even think it was one of his better efforts.

It’s now just two more months until the one-year anniversary of this site’s launch and that party. May 25, 2011 will also be Calvin’s 50th birthday. These are milestones deserving of serious celebration, and Calvin’s not one to miss an opportunity. That’s why, for the better part of a year, we’ve been warning the good citizens of Dublin, Ireland — host city of the 2011 iGaming Super Show — that late May might be a good time to take that holiday abroad. If they choose to remain within city limits on the evening of May 25, they run the risk of catching a debilitating contact high from all the adrenaline, endorphins and intoxicants in the atmosphere.

Those who weren’t fortunate enough to attend the Prague bash might worry that Calvin likes to take advantage of his role as host to deliver lengthy monologues. For the record, Calvin spoke for less than a minute at the Prague party, just long enough to remind everyone why we had all gathered together: “To get fucking drunk!” This year’s battle cry could be even shorter. In fact, “to survive” might be more appropriate.

We need to make a few things clear. You have to attend the iGaming Super Show (of which CalvinAyre.com is a sponsor) to be eligible to attend Calvin’s party, which will go down at a yet-to-be-disclosed location somewhere in Dublin. Other mandatory requirements for entry include an open mind, a strong heart, and brass balls. FYI, that’s not an anatomical requirement. Women are more than welcome to attend. Pussies are not. Seriously, this will fuck you up. It’s going to be, like… Ayremageddon. Publicly, we can’t say much more at the moment, but trust us, your perceptions are going to be so fundamentally altered, you’ll have a hard time deriving any future enjoyment from friends, family… from life. Frankly, we don’t want that on our conscience, so consider yourself forewarned.

Has Hugh Hefner convinced Apple to rethink its app censorship?

Apple’s Steve Jobs hasn’t been away on medical leave for more than a few days and already we’re seeing mice trying to take advantage of the cat’s absence. Jobs has kept a somewhat puritanical watch over the content of apps for the iPhone and iPad, with pornography, gambling, file-sharing and other ‘explicit’ fare deemed strictly verboten. But with Jobs’ attention focused on his own health situation, app developers may be trying to push the envelope.

Hugh Hefner, last seen taking his beloved Playboy company off the public market, announced on his Twitter feed that his lifestyle magazine was coming to the iPad starting in March. Digital magazine publisher Bondi Digital will produce both current and archival issues for digital subscribers, which means you’ll soon be able to read Calvin Ayre’s profile from the most recent issue on your iPad.

Crucially, Hefner tweeted that “Playboy on iPad will be uncensored,” giving hope that Apple’s previously prudish stance was being reconsidered. However, a Playboy spokesperson later told FoxNews.com that you won’t be able to view Pamela Anderson’s minge via the app store after all. What Playboy is planning will be more of a portal to an iPad-compatible “web-based subscription service … that will give users access to every issue of Playboy.” A non-nude version of Playboy “that adheres to all of Apple’s policies and guidelines” will be launched in a few months.

So is the aging Hef showing signs of senility for leading us all to think that Apple was allowing a few worms into its shiny orchard? Or was he just playing the media into providing him with press coverage that a mere ‘digital magazine’ announcement could never have garnered? Hmm… Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks…

Playboy Hugh Hefner takes (some of) Calvin Ayre’s advice

Hugh Hefner, the 84-year-old Playboy magazine founder, has reached a deal to take his company private, reversing the decision he made in 1971 to take the company public. With equity backing from private investment firm Rizvi Traverse and a debt commitment from Jefferies & Co., Hefner’s Icon Acquisition Holdings LP will pay $6.15/share for the 30% of voting shares and 72% of non-voting shares that Hef doesn’t already control.

While Playboy may seem anachronistic in an age of freely available internet porn (which spares you the withering stares of the judgmental old bastard behind the cash register at your local variety store), the brand itself still has lots of life left in it. With much of the magazine’s production and manufacturing already outsourced, CEO Scott Flanders told the Chicago Sun-Times that the company would be “transforming into a licensing model rather than trying to compete in five media segments that are all under pressure.”

That licensing model is already on display in China, where some 300 licensed stores are already in operation hawking Playboy-branded goods, and one Playboy club already open in Macau and another due to open in 2012.

Frankly, we think the presence of branding exponent and staunch private company advocate Calvin Ayre in the most recent issue of the magazine must have sealed the deal in Hef’s mind. And we’re sure Calvin would applaud Hef’s decision, as he believes you have to be private to maximize the value of a ‘sin’ brand like Playboy. Calvin would further suggest that Hef ditch the US, move to London, Singapore or Macau and get into the gambling business — both online and brick & mortar.

However, there’s another of Hef’s recent decisions that Calvin would never endorse. That would be Hef’s engagement to 24-year-old Crystal Harris. We ain’t saying she’s a gold-digger… But seriously, dude… If it flies, floats or fucks… rent it.

Toni Braxton ‘Considering’ Playboy Offer

Toni Braxton tweeted today that she is considering an offer from Playboy to pose partially nude for the men’s magazine.

The 43-year-old, Grammy Award winning, “Unbreak My Heart” singer sent a message through her twitter account, “New Year, New opportunities. So I have been considering taking up Playboy’s offer to feature me on their cover this year. What you think?”

Playboy would feature Braxton on the cover and show, as she puts it, “Just a lil T and A.”

There is something extra special about celebrities posing in the legendary men’s magazine. The women who pose regularly are nice but really, they’re just doing their job. However, when celebrities pose for Playboy, they are giving back to all of their male fans. It’s a little reward for supporting them for so long.

Unfortunately for Ms. Braxton, this would have been a fantastic idea 10 years ago but now that she’s north of 40 and broke, it smells of desperation.

In October of 2010, Braxton filed for bankruptcy for a second time in her career. In 1998, she owed about $4 million, this time she’s said to owe between $10 million and $50 million dollars.

Her expensive tastes are to blame. She’s been known to drop seven figures buying five Mercedes in five different colors.

The Braxton Playboy issue will sell OK but a request for you 20 something starlets, please consider posing for playboy long before you go broke. It’s just the right thing to do.

Calvin Ayre, Pam Anderson in Playboy (guess which one’s naked)

Once you get beyond the cover shot of 13-time cover girl Pam Anderson, the January 2011 Playboy contains a well-written feature “Welcome to the No Fun League – The NFL vs. Gambling” by Matthew Kredell. In it, Kredell explores the NFL’s anti-gambling, anti-fun rules and to give a counterpoint he interviews our own playboy, Bodog Brand founder and all around champion of fun, Calvin Ayre.

It’s a fascinating contrast of the stylish and never too serious Ayre versus the NFL’s take themselves too seriously traditionalists. It’s also a perfect example of Calvin’s oft-stated belief that branded content is the best way to draw attention to your product/service – especially when the medium (Playboy) embodies the same lifestyle message as the brand you’re seeking to market.

Kredell sits with Ayre during his infamous 49th birthday party in Prague. If you weren’t there or haven’t seen the highlights, the article paints a picture of mayhem and madness where everyone can’t help but have a good time. (And keep an eye out for his 50th birthday bash, which, contrary to the article, will not be held in Prague again, but in Dublin. After sober reflection, Calvin feels it’s not fair to subject any one city to that much carnage/debauchery two years in a row.)

Calvin tells the readers how he began in the industry and how his dedication to branding was the impetus behind Bodog’s success. Ayre tells us he takes his inspiration from Richard Branson, Donald Trump, Hugh Hefner, Sean ‘P-Diddy’ Combs and even Paris Hilton. The first four are self-explanatory but the fifth, it’s probably best that Calvin explains that one.

The article is strongly pro-industry; it presents the positive benefits of regulating the online gaming industry in the US and highlights the NFL’s anti-fun stance in an entertaining and informative way. After the failed attempts of Harry Reid and Barney Frank to regulate online gambling in the United States, we’ll likely see more journalists take up the case for individual freedoms.

Fundamentalists prefer dead kids over dead presidents from Pam Anderson

We’ve said it before, and we’ll go on saying it: religious fundamentalists are fucked. Their latest claim to infamy comes from the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) in Indonesia, which has rejected a $25k donation that would have provided clean water filters for those affected by the latest devastating tsunami to hit the country. Why would anyone reject aid to help prevent water-borne diseases that can be so deadly in the aftermath of natural disasters? Surprise, surprise – it involves boobies.

Pamela Anderson, actress and proud possessor (even at the age of 43) of one of the most awesome set of funbags ever to be unfurled in public, is set to appear on an upcoming cover of Playboy magazine. This will mark the 14th time Anderson will have graced Playboy’s outer wrapping, a claim no other woman can make. But make no mistake, Pammy’s got a DD-sized heart nestled somewhere beneath her areolae, and so she decided to donate her $25k paycheck to Waves 4 Water, an NGO dedicated to preventing deaths from tainted drinking water.

However, once the high and mighty FPI got wind of precisely whose nipple prints were on the check, they rejected the money outright, despite the knowledge that they would be dooming many children to a lingering death from cholera, dysentery or the like. The head dickhead at the FPI proudly proclaimed that accepting Pammy’s money would be “against the law of God” and that by allowing herself to be photographed au naturel, Pam was “challenging a bigger disaster to happen in Indonesia.” So, better a few kids definitely die now, as opposed to the vast multitudes that could hypothetically die from some future calamity.

While intolerance isn’t limited to Islamic fundamentalism, the FPI’s pigheadedness echoes the Iranian cleric who earlier this year blamed the country’s many earthquakes on women who wear revealing clothing (rather than the country’s location atop the intersection of some of the globe’s biggest fault lines). If there is a God, we really wish He’d explain to these fuckamentalists that when science and common sense take a back seat to dogma, people die.

Anna’s coming out to play boys!

And so the story rumbles on, and I for one am not complaining one bit. Russian spy Anna Chapman, who we’ve already seen more than our fair share of, is to pose for a shoot for Playboy magazine at some point in the near future. It’s hoped that the exposure, and money, will help her to produce a book on her spying adventures and eventually a film. If all that fails, and she’s intent on making a film, just move over to the blue side. 3D Playboy spawns a glorious new era for porn

Brian couldn't believe how realistic Playboy was in 3D

3D films are everywhere at the moment. After the success of Avatar it seems that every last moving picture from Clash of the Titans to Alice in Wonderland has been made in another dimension.

Personally, I don’t get it. Why the fuck would you want to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D? Come to think of it why would you want to see Alice in Wonderland, full stop? But if you ask me, a good film is a good film however many Ds it’s shown in, so you can’t pull the wool, or those silly dark glasses, over my eyes with this new ‘must see’ technology.

Of course, that said, I’ll make exception for porn. How can you not – you should always make exception for porn – and on this occasion Playboy have played a blinder by making the playmate of their forthcoming issue a 3D centre-fold. Imagine it, first you look at the page and all you can see is a blurry pixellated image; then you put on the shades and suddenly Miss June, aka the bodelicious Hope Dworaczyk, is quite literally jumping out of the page at you. Genius. I haven’t bought Playboy for years, but I might just endeavour to rediscover my youth and pop down to the newsagents and reach for the top shelf when nobody’s looking.

Inevitably, Paddy Power are offering odds on who will be the next 3D playmate – what don’t they offer odds on these days? – but my mind is already wandering towards the next inevitable step in this bongo revolution. Before you know it, 3D porn films will be upon us. Free internet porn will soon become Three (D) internet porn and we will all be glued to our laptops until kingdom (or money shot) come. Happy days…
