Speaking of such, we’re more than happy to present our featured Ayre Head for the blooming month of May, a foxy and stunning woman that shares in our everyday pursuit of happiness. Gentlemen, please give a warm-blooded welcome to Kristen D.

The Westlake, Ohio native has been sizzling our TV screens for quite some time now, having appeared in a number of shows, including Femme Fatales, House, Entourage, and CSI: Miami. She’s also made a name for herself in social media, thanks to her involvement in a number of skits from Funny or Die, as well as appearing in plenty of web series’ throughout the years.

What makes Kristen D such a certifiable catch is she’s more than just a pretty face with a smokin’ hot body; Kristen D is also a certified genius, a “Cum Laude” from the University of South Florida with a degree in Criminology and an eye-popping 3.63 GPA. Intimidated yet? On top of her academic par excellence, she is also a member of a number of National and International Honor Societies, including Pi Gamma Mu, Phi Sigma Theta, and Golden Key. We’re not too sure what that last one is, but it sounds impressive just by the name it goes by.

In her spare time, Kristen D is the picture of athletic versatility. Try competing against her in a whole range of sports and activities and you’re more than likely to get shamed out of your pants. Whether its gymnastics, kickboxing, swimming, or even ice skating, Kristen D has the skills to match her looks and smarts.

So even if the Mayan prediction does come to bear and we’re left to see our destruction at year’s end, we can at least find comfort in knowing that for the month of May, Kristen D made us forget of our impending doom.

We won’t be having male Ayre Heads on the site. It’s not that we haven’t genuinely considered adding men but chalk it up to cold feet or the fact the we just love beautiful women so much more.

We like to have a little fun this time of year, if you remember last year, we played a joke on gambling industry veteran Scott Longley. The idea was, with the help of some public company executives, Longley purchased CalvinAyre.com with the intention of making it a traditional, boring business news site. We changed the look and feel of the site, going so far as to remove Calvin and his iconic guns and fill the space with a boring old logo.

The year before that was probably our most notorious prank. Calvin’s nephew, mad at his uncle Calvin, leaked personal (pornographic) photos of his dear Uncle Calvin. Thankfully, the photos were Photoshopped and not the boss’s real deal.

Still more shenanigans:

• Calvin’s epic war with Hail Mary Sportsbook.
• Losing Bodog to Virgin’s Richard Branson in a hand of poker?
• Calvin’s “Space Casino“.
• Calvin’s reality show to find “Calvin’s Heir.”

I’m sorry to the women who are disappointed (if I had a nickel for every time…) but I’m sure most of our male readers are a little relieved they didn’t have to stare at Rocco’s bulging, er, pectorals all month.

Gentlemen, to make amends for putting a little fear in your hearts we have an extra special pictorial feature for the month of April: the beautiful, the talented, CalvinAyre.com contributor and Bodog Poker Pro, Miss Tatjana Pasalic.

This isn’t the first time @Tattytats has stepped in front of the camera. She is routinely voted one of the sexiest poker players in the world (voted number one in 2010, in fact). Honestly, she probably should have won in 2011 too, but we guess the voters got a little of that Michael Jordan MVP fatigue. We’re sure she’ll be number one again in 2012.

We receive loads of comments, mostly from men about how they LOVE the women on CalvinAyre.com. The Girls section is routinely one of our most popular pages; unfortunately, we’ve received some critical feedback from the women in the iGaming industry saying it’s sexist and we should get rid of the girls.

We love women and we especially love the women in the gambling industry, so although it wasn’t my favourite idea, we have enough supporting data to convince us that featuring male models on our site will increase our female demographic and open up other advertising opportunities.

Lead on-camera reporter and long time industry insider Rebecca Liggero is a big supporter of the plan, “I had a conversation with another female professional recently – she was upset and felt that women are constantly objectified within the online gambling industry. Seeing as our industry is male-dominated and sex always sells, it’s highly unlikely that anything is going to change anytime soon. Rather than fight the inevitable, I find it’s better to embrace it and simply ask for the same in return – male objectification for online gambling industry females.”

Here’s a sneak peek at our first model Rocco V. You’ll be able to see his full pictorial at the beginning of the month. Rocco is a former water polo player, likes working out, camping and reading Deepak Chopra books. Rocco describes himself: “My friends say I’m like the big guy (Mr. Big) from the Sex and the City show but I don’t own a television so I don’t know if that’s good or bad.” Enjoy ladies.

One last thing; we feel that the title ‘Ayre Heads’ doesn’t exactly fit what we’re trying to do so if you have a better name for our male model features, please feel free to put your suggestions below in the comments. Perhaps we’ll use the best nickname as the men’s new moniker.

So who was crowned the most admired dream girl out of our run of Ayre Heads in 2011? That was no other than booby brunette babe Tia P.

Perched pleasingly on a bed made for two, it doesn’t take much to imagine you right on there with her.

As top of the hots, we think our readers favour Tia because she’s as the darkest of brunettes with the bluest of eyes – capable of igniting your most unruly desires.

When asked to choose between Gamblin’, Drinkin’ or Carryin’ on, tantalising Tia chose Gamblin’ – loving nothing better than a pile of chips held firmly against her chest.

Staci T might be our second most popular Ayre Head of the year, but she’s by no means anyone’s second best as a supreme blonde beauty. As one of our Ayre Heads from the ICE 2011 event, Staci is an Angry Bird – telling us that she once played the smartphone game for 14 hours straight, hitting up a score of 160450. With finger skills like that, who wouldn’t want to get to know her a little better?

When we asked Staci the ultimate question, does she prefer Gamblin’, Drinkin’ or Carryin’ on, she chose Drinkin’. Stunning Staci can’t quite get over the feeling of a nice stiff drink sliding slowly down her throat. The holiday season must be her favourite time of year…

Our featured Ayre Head for June, Ashley D, wins bronze medal for CalvinAyre.com’s 2011 ultimate sex on legs award. As if the summer wasn’t hot enough then came along Ashley in this sweltering Steampunk photo shoot. But Ashley D is a girl who heats it up wherever she goes: a perfect winter holiday gift.

Ashley has also done shoots for both Maxim and Playboy magazines. But to find out just how she rolls in her leisure time, we asked her straight up: Drinkin, Gamblin, or Carrying On? As you might expect from the outfit, Carrying On is her specialty. Just how, we’ll leave to your imagination.

Hold on just a second there before you pitch a tent, I’m not talking about their own porn website, this isn’t PETA. But, I must say, a porn site with Ayre Heads and graphic images of gaming industry video and news does sound almost ideal. I mean think of the multi-tasking possibilities.

But aside from porn, what if the Ayre Heads had their own site? Of course it would be awesome, but that’s my biased opinion, we polled our viewers and asked them: “Should the Ayre Heads get their own website?” Here are the results:

43 percent of our respondents were very enthusiastic and said “HELL YES!”

26 percent kept calm but still responded with “Yes.”

22 percent didn’t want to see a website devoted to the beautiful Ayre Heads and voted “No.”

9 percent responded said that they “don’t like girls,” not that there’s anything wrong with that, but we’ll just ignore their responses.

General rule of thumb, more Ayre Heads can never be a bad thing. That is, unless you’re part of that 9 percent who doesn’t like beautiful and scantily clad women, with bodies like goddesses.

For the rest of us Ayre Head lovers, forget the website, we can’t wait till the next featured Ayre Head of the month!

They say there’s no such thing as a free lunch, and there’s plenty of things that should be free that people now have to pay for. I would argue that “love” is making its way onto that list, but that’s for another post.

What about Free Gaming News? Interestingly enough, eGaming Review Magazine recently announced that they would be going behind a paywall beginning September 28th.

We polled the question “If a Free Gaming News site puts up a paywall, will you pay for access?” Here are the results.

Not surprisingly, an overwhelming 74 percent of our respondent said “I want my Gaming News informative, entertaining and FREE.” Of course they do, who wouldn’t?

19 percent they would pay for access only if their boss was paying for it.

And just 6 percent said “yes” they would actually pay for access.

The House of Representatives has approved legislation to establish a lesser offense in Rhode Island state law for minors who “sext,” or transmit sexually explicit photos and videos of themselves electronically with intent of protecting minors from being prosecuted under the state child pornography laws which could carry a penalty of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

That’s all well and good for minors, but what about adults? Where does the line get drawn for sexting between adults? Should there be a line? If a woman gives you her number, does she have to accept that at any point you might sext her a picture of your penis? Is that legit social etiquette?

Brett Favre probably thinks so.

Perhaps sexual images and booty popping videos are too far unless they are solicited by the recipient, but what about good old fashioned, dirty sexting?

The trouble for men is that we can’t put ourselves in a woman’s heels.

For example, if a woman sexts a dirty message with a naked image or video of her spread eagle on a table top to your smartphone, put your hand up if you’ll be offended. Are you going stare at your phone in disgust and say “Well I never.”?

What if it was a co-worker? Are you filing for sexual harassment?

For men it’s different.

I’m willing to bet that most men hope that sexting becomes more common-place. I know I do. I’m hoping this trend continues, in fact, it’s one of my motives behind writing this. I’m hoping that sexting and the transferral of explicit photos and sexy videos becomes just as common as a normal text.

Imagine? It would be like having an Ayre Head Gallery right on your phone!

It probably won’t happen, but a man can dream.

If there is a take-home message here, it is that lines need to be drawn when sexting, at least on our part gentlemen. It has become apparent that electronic transmissions such as emails, texts, sexts, and the like all can get you in serious trouble.

I know for some of us old school cats using these smart-phones is kind of like playing video games, but it’s not a game when a drunk sext get’s you fired, charged with sexual harassment or ruins a promising friendship or relationship.

There’s even more dangers.

If you have one of those young models sending you sext pictures, you might want to double check the laws in your jurisdiction. Worst case scenario, you get caught with that stuff on your phone it’s not just embarrassing, it’s child pornography. It can happen to anyone, so be extra cautious with younger women, even if they’ve shown you an ID.

That’s at the extreme end of the spectrum, but it’s worth noting. Lines do have to be drawn for us gentlemen when sending and receiving sext messages.
