Nvidia showcase innovative Tegra 3 Chip on quad core tablet; Galaxy Nexus bug fix on its wayWant to know what a quad-core powered tablet running Android Ice Cream Sandwich looks like? Did we even need to ask? Well, today’s your day.

Nvidia – the big brains behind the Tegra 3 chip that’s on its way to smartphones near you very soon – has released a video exhibiting how well its chip works in mobile gaming platforms.

In the video, Nvidia has chosen to demonstrate the mobile gaming dream on the all new iPad rival, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime. As a tablet that plugs into a nifty keyboard dock to become a laptop, we couldn’t think of a better way.

Scroll down for the vid, where you will see Ice Cream Sandwich on the Prime’s 10-inch screen, showing off Android’s new transition effects, drag and drop folders, 1080p video and beautifully smooth running waterborne racing game Riptide.

Has anything ever looked sexier than that? Well, apart from our Ayreheads, of course. It is a shame, however, that the Transformer Prime won’t run Ice Cream Sandwich when it launches in the US, but it will do soon enough and should do by the time it arrives in the UK next year.

According to reports, Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich works equally well on both phones and tablets. Apps designed for Ice Cream Sandwich also work on both your phone and your slate – so it shouldn’t be long before we see these graphical capabilities on our smartphone handsets.

Reports have spread across the internet like a plague of sound-destroying locusts that there’s a bug with the volume dropping while using a 2G network – meaning you can’t hear a damn thing when you’re wanting to use it like it should be used: as a phone! Not to worry though. Today Google confirmed the problem and are having their phone docs come up with an update to fix the issue asap.

You got a nexus and experiencing the same problem? If so, how miffed are you?
