The inspiration?

Microgaming has given all slots fans out there a treat by unveiling three brand-spanking new games. The three new games will be available across the company’s Viper, Flash and QuickFire platforms and see a release over the next month. Lucky Witch is a five reel, 15-line video slot that is available on all three platforms, whereas the five reel Victorian Villain only comes on the QuickFire platform. The third slot is Hells Grannies. It lets you into the “hardcore world of granny bikers,” which I’m not sure if I like the sound of. The five reel, 25-line freak show is available only on the QuickFire platform.

The sportsman media group has acquired the live-streaming rights for the Australian Open tennis. Starting in 2012, the two-year deal will mean that it can offer streaming, for betting and gambling purposes, on the year’s first grand slam. The Munich-based firms supplies live streaming on around 20,000 events each year and numbers amongst its customers bet365, Betfair, Unibet, Betclic and many more. Apart from that it gives us a chance to see scantily clad female tennis players whilst we bet on the tab alongside. Just add a beer and you’re sorted.

Television Games Network (TVG) is to provide HD coverage from two tracks until 2016. Horseracing broadcast from Keeneland and Del Mar will benefit from the US horseracing industry’s first HD only TV channel. In all 36million homes already receiving the channel, that is one of the country’s largest legal online wagering businesses. Betfair took on the business in 2009 for around $50m (£35m at the time) and it offers punters the chance to bet via home online, phone, web-enabled phones and set-top box remote controls. It’s expected that if successful it will be rolled out to more tracks.
