In America, Monday night is owned by the NFL, Americans love their football more than their apple pie. On Monday night, ESPN was the most watched network in all of television as an average of 17.1 million viewers tuned in to watch Tony Romo lead the Dallas Cowboys to a 18-16 win over the Washington Redskins.
“Two and a Half Men” the number one sitcom on TV retained its top spot even without Charlie Sheen on the show. Last week the show drew 28.7 million viewers and Monday’s show pulled in 20.5 million as the most-watched show and the show of choice for coveted 18-49 age group. So, if “Two and a Half Men” is still #winning, how’s Charlie Sheen doing?
Well, let’s just say Sheen isn’t exactly #losing. Back in March, Sheen filed a $100-million lawsuit against the Warner Bros and Two and a Half Men‘s creators after he was fired from the show. Well, a cult following, a radio show and a stand-up routine later, Sheen has finally reached a settlement with the studio.
Warner Bros said in a news release statement, “Warner Bros. Television, Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen have resolved their dispute to the parties’ mutual satisfaction. The pending lawsuit and arbitration will be dismissed as to all parties. The parties have agreed to maintain confidentiality over the terms of the settlement.”
No word yet on the actual dollar sum Sheen received, but estimates put it in the ball park of around 25 Million. According to a report by E!, Sheen is also reportedly working on television series based on the Adam Sandler movie Anger Management in which Sheen will be taking on the role of Jack Nicholson’s character from the movie.
It seems Ashton Kutcher is off to a great start as he tries to make Sheen a distant memory and “Two and a Half Men” continues to lead the sitcom pack, meanwhile, Hollywood Bad Boy Sheen gets paid and has a new show on the burner, at the end of the day, looks like everyone came out #winning.
