Everyone knows that sex sells and sells a lot. Therefore it seems only logical that during these less than stellar economic times, casinos step up their entertainment value to attract larger crowds.
Would you be more inclined to visit a casino if there were more scantily clad women and sexy shows?
Resorts casino in Atlantic City thinks so, and has introduced the Cirque Risque, but you can call it the Naked Circus.
It’s a smorgasbord of scantily clad performers showing off a lot of talent and ass and cleavage, it’s all part of the sexy makeover at the Resorts. Suggestive images of women are the focal points of a roaring 1920s marketing campaign, mirroring the debauchery depicted in “Boardwalk Empire.”
It’s not uncommon for an acrobatic routine to end with two gorgeous females erotically climbing all over each other. That too, is part of the show.
Resorts has made no bones about it, they’re selling sex appeal, no surprise then that their billboard that advertised the show “Moonshine Follies” showed the booty of a female with a g-string and beads.
Pornography mogul and free speech advocate Larry Flynt’s Hustler Casino in Gardena is now catching on to the sexy campaign and has hired attractive, scantily clad women to work as dealers. I know, it’s ridiculously strange that for the past 11 years the Hustler Casino wasn’t offering a sexy experience, but better late than never.
Dan Sanbrotti, director of table game operations said in the Contra Costa Times,”Gaming is only fun if there’s energy and excitement and night life…People don’t just come to play cards. You can do that at home. We’re trying to create a total experience.”
It’s the same in Atlantic City. When people talk about the comparison between gambling in the comfort of their own homes and going to a casino, one of the pros for casinos is always supposed to be the atmosphere and the venue. There’s nothing like scantily clad women and sexy shows to attract new crowds and inject new life into what has been a struggling Atlantic City market.
