google plus logoFinally there’s a competitor that has Facebook, the social media juggernaut, looking over their shoulder. Google Plus has been making a lot of noise and there are social gaming entrepreneurs that are touting Google Plus as the chosen one and their saviour. Variety and competition is always good. Facebook can’t be pleased.

But just how many people are migrating to Google Plus? We polled the question, “Are you on Google + yet?” Here are the responses:

43 percent of our respondents said “Yes” they are on Google Plus already.

27 percent are not on Google Plus at all.

I figured this number would be higher, but it turns out that only 19 percent are still waiting for an invite to Google Plus, while 11 percent are still living in a cave with their eyes closed and ears plugged and are still wondering what Google Plus is all about.

There’s a lot of anticipation about the future of social networking as the arrival of Google Plus could potentially have a huge impact on the gambling industry.

If you are on Google Plus, feel free to request an invite – BreakingNews@CalvinAyre.com. If you aren’t on Google Plus and have no idea what it’s all about, we kindly suggest you put the shotgun down and crawl out of your bomb shelter and join the rest of us here in the real world.
