Still not enough birds on Google Plus

google plus no girlsThe world’s newest social network continues to falter in the recruitment of hot young females as the numbers continue to flounder. There have been groups set up to try and attract the fairer gender to the network but nothing has worked as the approximate percentage of women using the site has shown a decline.

Findpeopleonplus.com has around 14.5million of the some 20million users of the site indexed and from that was able to deduce that 32% of users are female. That’s a decrease from the figures published by Paul Allen over a month ago that managed to recognize that the network was made up of 33% females.

Using the network, you start to work out why it’s so unwanted by the female population. Its layout is particularly uninviting. Facebook and Twitter are similar but the layout of Google Plus leaves you thinking that the site is empty and not a place you’d like to “hangout” with your friends. Secondly the way they handle signing up for the site is slightly problematic. The good thing about other social networks is that you don’t have to join a queue or be invited to have fun with your friends over the internet. With Google Plus you do.

There’s one recent development that could attract girls to the site though and that’s the addition of the Games tab. With the chance to play a number of Zynga titles through the site, it should lead to a proliferation of girls joining and thus mean that the sausage fest is no longer what Google Plus is known for. The new addition could also be huge for the gambling industry with Zynga Poker showing how much success can be had in the world of social gaming. For now if you’re on the look out for girls, either bide your time on Google Plus or search PlentyOfFish.com. That’s where the classy birds are at!
