ITV’s newest stab at the gambling industry has seen them sign deals to promote the show “Red or Black?”. Online gambling industry firm Gamesys, will provided four pay-to-play games based on the branding of the game show. The games will cost from 5p to 50p to play and be promoted through a TV advertising campaign. No promotion will take place on the ITV.com website and Red or Black Slots, Red or Black Instant, Red or Black Hi Lo and Red or Black Stacks will be available at JackpotJoy.com.
In addition, the show will aim to take advantage of the social gaming industry after a deal was signed with social TV specialist Monterosa. Players will be able to compete at home through ITV.com whilst the show is going on and even play against their friends on Facebook.
An ITV spokeswoman said: “It made commercial sense to license the brand to market leaders, who run the UK’s leading gaming website. ITV.com has strong plans to support Red or Black?, which includes the play-along game.”
The game show gets underway on September 3rd on ITV1 at 7pm and is the brainchild of music mogul Simon Cowell. Each episode is an hour long and will be followed by a 30-minute long results show later on in the night. He has got Ant and Dec on board to present the show that will run over seven consecutive nights and it has followed a process in which 7,000 contestants have been whittled down to seven. The finalists will have to predict the outcome of a number of challenges that will be shown during a live show on ITV1. You even get to see the Hoff blasted 230ft into the air!
