sony dashEveryone has an iPad but sometimes you have to go against the grain and snatch up the competition, like a Samsung Glaxy Tab. It’s actually a solid pick up as most people will attest. Unless they work for Apple.

It packs the specs equipped with a a 1GHz processor, full Flash support from Android 2.2, dual cameras, support for up to 32GB of storage…you get it all. Plus it’s smaller and easier to handle than iPad. But you’re still left wondering why Samsung couldn’t have put in a micro-USB port. Instead like a damn cell phone, you have to charge it and sideload content using the Samsung cable. It’s like they wanted a handicap.

In our digital world, technology has been upgrading and updating itself so fast that so many cool gadgets get missed. By the time you have the new edition, there’s a newer and better edition. So what are we supposed to do? Of course, you can’t buy them all right? Well, you can try.

pioneer head unitIf you don’t want to shell out for the iPad, then how about The Sony Dash? Cheaper. A downgrade yes, but it would be perfect in the hotel room as an alarm clock to wake you up for the conference seminar that your hung-over arse was about to be late for… It’s a fun device for internet junkies looking to cram the web into every orifice of their homes and office. How about one of these in the bathroom?

It has well over 1000 apps in over 30 catgeories. You can get on Facebook, play music on slighty below average speakers and watch videos on its 7 inch screen.

Use it as a picture frame for the beauty of the month.

Cool Car Accessories

multicameraOne of the more interesting gadgets you can buy for your vehicle is a multi-camera system. Driving is never boring, not with the Alpine Topview multi-camera system. The system provides a 360-degree view similar to Infiniti’s Around View Monitor. It makes driving your car like playing a video game.

After that industry party, if things somehow happen to get explicit in the back of the Escalade truck with some sexy friends, hopefully you have Kenwood cameras. Kenwood makes these tiny cameras that can be hooked up to the A/V head units to provide various wide-angled views in the rear or front of the vehicle. If the two ladies in the back want to get to know each other a little better…and action!

Speaking of head units, if you have them and they have a disc drive, you might want to consider the Pioneer and Alpine head units that come without a disc drive and can control and iPod or other portable media players.

These days, we all want to keep an eye on our carbon footprint. It’s the responsibility of each person to do their part. Being fuel conscious at least until the US invades Iraq helps…

Garmin introduced an upgrade to its ecoRoute software which allows the company’s existing Nuvi portable nav systems to display diagnostic and performance data obtained wirelessly through a vehicle’s OBD II port. Using the Pioneer made Eco Graph device you can then view and calculate just how much driving your sports car is screwing over the environment for everyone else.

And it’s a sexy hippie chick magnet!
