royal wedding partyYeah, go ahead and pour the good stuff! The only thing better than a royal wedding party is the royal wedding after party!

William and Kate Middleton have given us all a landmark moment!

Where were you when William married Kate? Perhaps, a better question will be, where were you partying the night of the royal wedding?

Wedding parties rank among the top events to party like a rock-star for men and women. In keeping with the royal wedding, we’re all invited to celebrate, even if the majority of us never actually received an invitation. Mine must have got lost in the mail.

But that won’t stop me and countless of others from toasting to the new royal couple in the only way that gaming industry professionals know how. Reckless partying.

To be sure, we’ve already gotten our gambling out of the way, but somebookies might be less than satisfied.

The Queen wore yellow, I had hoped she would dress in blue…For no reason at all, I just got caught up in the hype like everyone else.

As for Kate, the future Queen of England, judging from the reaction on the faces of every woman that laid eyes on her, she looked stunning in her wedding dress. All wedding dresses look the same to me, they’re white and they look difficult to get into.

The stars were out in full force. The Westminister Abbey looked amazing.

For many of us who were smart enough to take the day off, the drinks have been flowing since the early morning.

They said their vows and waived to the crowd and now as the night is upon us, there’s really only one thing left to do, party like we’re at royal wedding after party!

The best part about a wedding after party is that women seem to be in that mood to have a little extra fun. If you’ve ever seen The Wedding Crashers you know what I’m talking about. It’s just one of those parties were people are little extra loose.

Wedding after parties, aside from industry conference parties, are the best times for drinking and carrying on, and they offer a mulligan for any ill advised or rash decisions made that night.

In the spirit of our soon to be King and Queen and in the spirit of all weddings, let’s get hopelessly drunk and make some bad decisions not just tonight, but over the whole weekend. It’s just the right type respect to pay to our new royal couple in my books.

A toast anyone?
