The Miami Dolphins star receiver Brandon Marshall has a bit of a checkered past, but he’s one hell of a football player. Marshall has a rap sheet as big as his ego, and it’s a wonder this man hasn’t seen jail time. Physical altercations, domestic disputes, drunk driving, spousal abuse, Marshall knows all about it. Perhaps though, Marshall has put his hands on his wife for the last time.
Brandon Marshall is expected to make a full recovery after being stabbed by his wife Michi Nogami-Marshall. This wasn’t some fight over sports or Celebrity Apprentice, but instead of Michi Nogami-Marshall on the receiving end of NFL caliber beatdown, it was Marshall that that ended up getting shanked. Marshall had originally tried to deny that he had been stabbed, but to his surprise the police were in fact adults, and not children born yesterday.
It hasn’t been a very good year for the Miami Dolphins organization. The team failed to meet expectations and there are more question marks than answers in regards to the future direction of the team. Brandon Marshall, the team’s star reciever, getting shanked by his wife had to be the last thing the Dolphins needed.
There has to be some concern over Marshall’s future. What happens the next time they get into a fight? One downward strike and instead of it being a stab wound to the abdomen his wife could go Lorena Bobbit on his ass. Does anyone remember what happened to Steve McNair? Let’s hope it doesn’t get that messy. Crazy shit can happen to athletes and Marshall’s track record suggests that he’s drawn to trouble.
What are the odds this isn’t the last time Marshall and his wife get into it? The longer she has to see his mug around the house I’d say pretty good. She’s probably just as anxious for the Lockout to end as we are.
I’m guessing this injury will put a damper on Marshall’s training for his back up plan of playing in the NBA.
