ford logoMDI Entertainment has always been a champion of lottery themes. Now, MDI Entertainment has extended its licensing agreement with Ford Motor Company for the delivery of instant lottery games based on the names, logos and assets from the car manufacturing company and the vehicles it manufactures.

Given the state of other American car manufacturers these days, MDI was certainly pleased to have linked fortunes with Ford. MDI has launched 31 instant games featuring Ford cars or trucks since the company first began licensing the brand to lotteries in 2003 and now that relationship is set to continue and expand.

Steve Saferin, Scientific Games’ chief creative officer said in the release, “Ford has proven to be a great brand for lotteries, and their story is only getting better…Ford surpassed Toyota as the #2 automobile seller in the United States last year, was named #1 in owner loyalty by Automotive Loyalty Rewards and even reported a sales increase in December. With this kind of performance in the marketplace, we have every reason to believe that the Ford brand will continue to be terrific for instant games.”

MDI lotteries will also be able to award Ford vehicles as prizes in terminal-generated games. Other lotteries, particularly the North Carolina Lottery has in the past awarded Ford products as prizes in its Carolina Cash 5 online game.
