Isildur1 kept up his stellar record in his own game show, seeing off the challenge of a relatively unknown challenger.

His record in the SuperStar Showdown is now 4-1 and he ended a disappointing week by beating the online qualifier, DodgyFish72 but only by a narrow margin.

Isildur1 wins again; Phil Laak in the book; DeWitt leads WPT LA ClassicThe match was close throughout and the challenger will be happy to only lose $10 of the $15,000 bankroll he was given as a prize to play against Viktor Blom with.

Poker pro Phil Laak has now officially entered the Guinness Book of World Records after his record breaking feat in the middle of last year.

The Unabomber set the record after a single sitting of 115 hours at the Bellagio Poker Room in Vegas, beating the previous world record by 36 hours and 15 minutes.

Laak commented, “I was shooting for 80 hours all along and eventually it came. The obvious next step was to honor the moment by making the most of it. A gambling degenerate by trade this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see what my inner vampire was really made of.”

Since setting the record everyone from New Zealand to Austria claimed to have broken it again but after originally not recognizing it, Laak’s name is the only one in the book.

The World Poker Tour L.A. Poker Classic enters day three down to the final 63 after a grueling day two.

In the end, it lasted for 14 hours and Jason DeWitt heads up the field with a chip count of 1,023,000.

It resumes later today at LA’s Commerce Casino with the winner taking home a cool $1,654,120.
