The industry starts some shit over Bulgarian anti gambling laws
The key complaint from the opposition is the wording of the state’s proposed legislation, which the companies believe to be discriminatory and unfair, particularly granted the advertising rights afforded their competitors across the rest of the European Union.
Damn if they don’t sound reasonable too, with an official statement from the opposition even accepting warning labels over outright prohibition.
“If restrictions were essential, it would be more acceptable to treat gambling in the same manner as smoking, with warnings of the possible dangers associated with wagering carried on any advertising, rather than outright bans,” an industry spokesperson wrote in an official statement.
