An annual sex survey by Shape and Men’s Fitness magazines has released some results, most of which the true players have known for years. The most important of the results released was that with nearly 80 percent of women and 58 percent of men were saying social media tools leads to sex faster. Basically, texting, or as I like to call it, sexting, combined with FB and Skype and whatever other social media tools being used, can get you in between legs faster than just going on dates or talking on the phone. You just have to use the correct mix along with talking on the phone and meeting in person and you’ll be in there like swim-wear.
If this is coming as a huge surprise and shock to you then you’re either too old, an idiot, or you haven’t been using Social networking tools properly at all. Seriously. Everyone by now who uses social media with any type of frequency should have had at least one or two sexual advances made towards them via the network, wanted or not. I can take some guesses at why Facebook and other social networking tools lead to having sex faster, but that’s not what this article is about.
This article is about how social media can stop you from getting laid. It all stems from the degree of intimacy afforded by the social media. It’s amazing the freaky details people are willing to divulge through social media, things they would never have the confidence or feel comfortable saying in person or over the phone. This works both ways, and there’s certain things that if posted, texted or said can definitely stop you from getting any action.
Excessive Force with Drunk texting
You know, when you’re drunk, sometimes things aren’t really what they seem. Like when you’re drunk texting the nice girl you just met the day before, that you want to come over and show her your Mandingo Warrior at 4 am…Over…and over again…until you get that “never talk to me again sicko” response. It’s what I call excessive force, and it’ll stop you from getting some faster than erectile dysfunction.
Too much information (TMI)
Some people will post anything on their FB pages…Including the latest STD they just contracted. Okay, the last thing anyone needs to hear is how you got the clap. Take the pills, and keep that shit to yourself.
Blatant FB creeping
I don’t care what anyone says, everyone does it. I’m talking about Facebook creeping. You scan and creep over the pages of certain people of interest and glean whatever information you can. The information can be used to scan ex girlfriends/boyfriends or to find out where a particular person may be partying on a certain night. Both men and women do it. But there’s lines that need to be drawn. Go too far, and start spouting off information that you probably shouldn’t know and you’ve crossed the line from Facebook creeper to downright creep and borderline stalker.
I’m probably leaving some ‘don’ts’ out, but I’ll leave you to fill in those blanks, or post some of your own, we’d love to hear them!
