Razzie AwardEarly today the nominations for the 83rd annual Academy Awards were announced and as they have for the past 31 years, the Golden Raspberry Foundation has released their nominations for the worst of the film business for the past year.

The Razzie Awards are to recognize the worst of the film industry, films that should never been made, horrible acting, horrible production and just general all around time stealers.

The five films nominated for the worst film of 2010 include the Gerard Butler-Jennifer Aniston train wreck, the Bounty Hunter. Aniston’s film isn’t the only chick up for a Razzie, as the Sex in the City sequel is among the worst five films of the year. I guess the saying hold true, you can put lipstick on four toothless old cougars and they’re still four toothless old cougars.

M. Night Shyamalan appears to be going for a lifetime achievement award from the Razzies as his film The Last Airbender is nominated for nine Razzie awards. Shyamalan is no stranger to bad movies as he’s been nominated for worst picture two other times for Lady in the Water and The Happening.

The final two films vying for the worst film of 2010 are vampire flicks. First is the third in the Twilight teen vampire series. You know the one where the Vampires are teen agers, look and act douchey but don’t have sex with the women that are totally hot for them. I don’t know about it either…I’ve only heard about it…seriously.

The final is a spoof of the aforementioned Twilight series, Vampires Suck. While the title holds promise, the rest of the movie is as good as the original.

Check out the Razzies for a full list of their nominations of the worst the film industry has to offer and if any online sportsbook wants to take some action, I have some Vampire movies to bet on.
