Stars of screen to become stars in the ring?
In terms of sports, there really wasn’t a massive amount on the Hollywood news pages regarding films. Nonetheless, the one film that was released this year, The Fighter, and star Mark Wahlberg, will have the sports betting world filliping at the latest news.
Having played an on screen fighter you might have been wishing that no one would bother you for quite some time, which has been the case for Ali star Will Smith. Until now.
Hollywood Boxing Federation CEO Danny Feldman is hoping to make cash offers of $1million to both film stars for them to take part in the fight in February 2011, which will take place in the US gambling capital Las Vegas.
“This will be a great opportunity for both stars to fight in the Superbowl of Hollywood boxing and to donate millions to their favourite charities,” Feldman told RadarOnline.com.
Who knows, it could be open the door for other stars of the big screen squared circle to also enter the ring. Personally, a fight between Fight Club and Snatch star, Brad Pitt, and the Wrestler Mickey Rourke would be a much more entertaining fight – especially if they deliberately take the persona of the characters they played.
