Becky Liggero and Calvin AyreThey may say Bodog88 is now hiring for the actual best job in the world, but I’m pretty sure that the best job in the world is mine. In addition to rockstar lifestyle that accompanies my London based position as BodogBrand.com’s Global Brand Ambassador and CalvinAyre.com’s Head On-site Reporter & International Socialite, when Bodog founder Calvin Ayre comes to London and does something fun, clearly I am required to report on it. Seeing as London is the center if the iGaming universe, it looks like Calvin’s going to be coming to town a lot more often and this means my job just got about ten times more fun.

Robert Williamson III and Calvin AyreLets begin the London based adventures with last night’s festivities. Several weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Full Tilt Poker Pro and DAF recipient Robert Williamson III at the EPO Opening Party, the very same pro who appeared on the Calvin Ayre Wild Card Poker TV series (and who had some special nights out with Calvin in between). I decided to reunite the long lost friends when they were both in London at the same time, and seeing as I am now based in London, I decided to go along for the ride.

The night began in Soho’s posh Hakkasan, a hidden celebrity studded restaurant with excellent food, a very hip atmosphere, some of the nicest “loos” I have ever seen, and the best damn apple martinis on earth. It turns out Kid Rock was at the restaurant as well, but I must have missed him because apparently he’s a small little guy…or maybe Robert and Calvin dancingit was the apple martinis that were blurring my vision. Several bottles of wine, dozens of martinis, and an exotic fruit plate later, rather than take a taxi home like we should have done, our group decided to move on to another venue for even more boozing and fun.

Destination of choice was Bungalow 8, another celebrity studded establishment that Kid Rock clearly likes seeing as we bumped into him there as well. The best memories I have from Bungalow 8 were certainly the shot glasses and deadly bottle of something fruity and alcoholic that Robert kindly ordered for our table, the amazing eighties music that got us all dancing and the signature bottle of Costa Rican Tobasco sauce that somehow ended up on our table and in the beer. The ultimate highlight of the night was my full-on dance lesson from Calvin, moves which he apparently learned in Costa Rica, and the fact that everyone in our group eventually passed out and woke up in morning with all of their clothes on. Hate it when that happens!
