Viktor-Blom-WSOP-EuropeThe list of notable names knocked out on Day 2 of the World Series of Poker Europe main event was lengthy, including Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari and Mike Matusow. The list of 66 survivors headed into Day 3 includes Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Bojan Gledovic and WSOP November Niner John Dolan (although he’s holding a pretty short stack).

Also still standing (sitting, actually, in Seat 2 at Table 14) is Bodog Network CEO Patrik Selin, with a respectable chip count of 173,600 (and a scalp count that includes Patrik Antonius). The only major poker network CEO that routinely proves his poker bona fides live and in person, Patrik has previously finished in the money at the WSOP in 2006, but we’re sure he wouldn’t object to adding a WSOP Europe title to his list of accomplishments.

The current chip leader is none other than Viktor Blom, the Swedish phenom long rumored (by Luke Schwarz and others) to be the mysterious ‘Isirdul1′ that alternately won and lost kajillions on Full Tilt earlier this year. Blom has denied the charge, but if he ends up cashing out in the #1 spot, would there be a better, more public platform on which to reveal his true identity? Seriously, Viktor… Watch the end of the first Iron Man movie, where Tony Stark utters the famous phrase “I am Iron Man.” That could be you!
