Wigan fans anticipating Poker in the Park
Upon watching Saturday’s Premier League encounter between Tottenham and Wigan via an illegal Internet stream you might have wondered, like me, whether the away fans had been banned for making some kind of rude gesture during last season’s 1-9 capitulation. You’d have understood if they’d all turned around and dropped the trousers at their side as they let in the ninth, but that wasn’t the case. The fans quite literally didn’t bother to make the trip, 60 the official number on how many showed. An August bank holiday trip down to London would be just the ticket for someone from that murky corner of the North West London surely? Obviously too busy watching the midget-tossing, egg chasing bonanza on TV, and saving themselves for Poker in the Park this week. Read more.
