Caesars Atlantic City hoping to ride Boardwalk Empire’s coattails
More evidence that Atlantic City casinos are hoping for great things from the Martin Scorsese-produced HBO series Boardwalk Empire, which chronicles the rise of Atlantic City as a sin-by-the-sea destination during America’s ill-fated experiment with prohibition. Caesars is hosting a swanky premiere on the 16th (three days before the series’ first episode debuts on TV) and for two weeks will offer a special period-themed room-rate of $19.20.
