French court orders ISPs to block sites, snoop emails, sniff underwear

French-Courts-ISP-Snoop-EmailsAs French gaming authorities ARJEL unleash the nation’s judges to protect their most-favored online gambling operators, they are ratcheting up the pressure on French internet service providers to do most of the dirty work. As if ordering ISPs to block non-approved international operators such as Stan James wasn’t enough, French courts are requiring ISPs to screen digital communications to ensure that users were not circumventing the censorship.
