Montreal Highlights: Wining, dining & CalvinizingIt just so happens that Calvin was scheduled to be in Montreal at the same time I was in Boston, so driving up to meet him and visit the bodog.com office in Kahnawake was an easy decision. After five hours of rockin’ out in the car, I hit the city limits and went straight to Kahnawake to meet Calvin at the bodog.com office. Upon arrival I went for a quick office tour to check out the renovations that are currently underway, said hello to some of my favorite colleagues, and waited for the big guy to finish up with an interview so I could drive him back to our hotel in the city.

Later that night Jay from Continent8 treated Calvin and I for dinner at Cavalli’s, an excellent experience for me as I was dining with two of the best looking men in igaming, and an excellent experience for them because our waitress (and everyone else’s) was ridiculously hot. Excellent food too, but that, of course, was secondary. After dinner we met up with some local colleagues and stayed out far too late, which predictably put a dent into the boating plans we had with Alwyn Morris, the bodog.com licensee, all day the next day.

Montreal Highlights: Wining, dining & CalvinizingRather than venturing out on the boat at 1pm as originally planned, I stayed behind to work and recover while Calvin went to meet Alwyn at 6pm and took the boat from Ste Anne de Bellevue to Kahnawake while enjoying some cocktails, females, and a skinny dip. Apologies for the lack of pictures from the boating experience, I was asked not to release them due to alleged nudity and to protect the innocent!

The infamous boat crew eventually met up with SEO legend Bob Rains, William Ayre, Jamie Mock and I for dinner at Garde Manger, one of the best seafood restaurants in Montreal. One could say that the drunken boating group slightly horrified our waitress, especially when Calvin started showing off his rear end, but she handled it well and we had fun so everything worked out in the end.

Montreal Highlights: Wining, dining & CalvinizingThat evening’s extracurricular activity consisted of bar hopping in the Plateau and hangin’ at Bob Rains’ pad which was just up the road. Finding booze to take back to Bob’s post bar hopping proved to be a challenge, so Bob had to stuff the our VIP table bottle of vodka down his pants before we snuck out of the bar and into his place. Spending time at Bob’s proved to be highly entertaining especially seeing as he has an obscenely large sneaker collection, a lot of hats, great music, and two awesome (and fat!) dogs. Now you can see why we all remained there until the sun came up…

Montreal Highlights: Wining, dining & CalvinizingBoth Calvin and I were scheduled to leave Montreal the next day, but ya, that didn’t happen. Instead we went for a recovery lunch on Crescent Street and could not even handle drinking the cocktails that Tamara of Intercash kindly sent down for us. The rest of the day and night consisted of working, sleeping, and recovering until the next morning when I jumped in the car and drove to Boston and Calvin jumped on a plane and flew to his next destination.

So what’s the moral of the story? Calvinizing sure is fun, but if you’re going to participate, please do not plan anything important the next day because you will not be making it. I’ll bet ya $2 ;)

Becky is so funny…love the party shots in Bob's closet. The 2 bucks is an inside gambling joke of the night :-)

They found to reduce alcohol jump bar Houbao Bob turned out to be a challenge, what if Bob is a bottle of vodka in his pants at the VIP table, in silence outside the bar, and in its place.
