Indonesian pols seek nationwide porn ban – except on parliament TV sets
The Indonesian government recently confirmed that it was preparing to implement a digital firewall against the usual suspects, including gambling and porn. However, history has taught us that those who shout the loudest about protecting us from this or that evil menace are often exposed as serious fans of the very thing they’re attempting to ban. Call it overcompensation, call it hypocrisy, call a spade a spade. So it shouldn’t come as any real surprise that the Indonesian parliament’s in-house TV feed ‘accidentally’ got switched to a XXX porn channel, or, more likely, someone forgot to restrict the channel’s reach to the politicians’ offices.
