French gaming regulator to fine ISP’s for not blocking ‘illegal’ sites

French-Gaming-Regulator-ISPARJEL, the French gaming authority, is not only in charge of issuing those coveted gaming licenses, it’s also strong-arming French internet service providers for not adequately policing the interwebs to keep out the non-licensed riff-raff. The ISP’s are trying hard to explain that (a) these websites are operating completely within the legal rights of their home nations, and (b) attempting to block them is about as effective a strategy as relying on the Maginot Line to block the Wehrmacht from rolling into Paris, but hey, you try reasoning with a French civil servant and see how far you get.
