Poker sharks have fond memories of the so-called golden age — the explosion of growth the online game experienced in the years following Chris Moneymaker’s WSOP win in 2003. Many of these same sharks are hoping that history will repeat itself if US legislators legalize online poker – poker rooms will fill up with fresh fish and the sharks will indulge in a lucrative feeding frenzy. But is that scenario all that likely, considering the ‘golden age’ also produced an explosion in poker education?
