State senator Wright still backing poker in California

Rod-Wright-California-PokerState senator Rod Wright may have yanked his plan for a California poker network off the table before it could get a proper hearing, but that doesn’t mean he’s given up advocating for it. No, his was a tactical move, avoiding a vote until he’s sure he had enough votes to pass the thing. So now he’s doing the legwork, hitting the stumps, as they say in American politics (that would be tubthumping in the UK, but we hesitate to use that word lest any drunks within earshot start singing that gawdawful Chumbawumba song).
