Try TweetTwain, in addition to the above features, you can integrate with your database too, thus integration with your internal applications.

I also switched recently, kinda bored with all that tweetdeck 'API limit exceeded', what i love about hootsuite is also the preview button, wherein previewing webpages, images, videos & even URL shortened links! How's that tweetdeck?

I can see how Tweet scheduling would be useful for business, I know some people who use it :-)

I don't use it though, I just tweet what I'm thinking at the time and reply to others when I have time.

I'm a big believer in 'less is more' when it comes to Twitter, UNLESS you are a news site or similar. My personal account is just for networking and having fun.

Have a great week guys!

"The Tweet scheduling" This is probably one of the original Hootsuite features that set them apart. Ever wondered how some people just seem to be on Twitter ALL THE TIME...well they really might have the luxury of that much time to kill, or they could just be scheduling their tweets using this feature. A real godsend! =)

Yeah, I'm looking forward to using Hootsuite, so far so good, has not crashed once and the feature set and interface are fantastic. Thanks for taking the time to comment. :-)

I have tried both and find that Hootsuite is a much friendlier interface and provides all the functionality I need. Tweetdeck was a bit kludgy to use and the interface wasn't nearly as intuitive, I thought. =)
