The future of the English football team is safe. Fabio Capello has been kept on for another two years and so fans of the Three Lions can reliably expect to see their side continue to play 4-4-2, Emile Heskey continue to fall over up front and Steven Gerrard continue to be played out of position on the left.
After all, the fact that these tactics failed to work throughout the miserable World Cup campaign and the pre-tournament friendlies will lure unsuspecting opposing sides into believing England might actually adopt a new approach. Ha-ha! How wrong they will be.
