Florida parties all night long with free drinks and no-limit poker

Florida’s card rooms will start dealing no-limit poker in the early hours of Thursday morning as America witnesses a rare thing: a State exercising common sense in its attitude towards gambling. As this article surmises, higher stakes generate bigger pots and more play – all of which should add up to greater gaming revenues flowing to Tallahassee. Couldn’t have of put it better myself. And it gets better, the new laws will allow poker rooms to operate around-the-clock on weekends and 18 hours a day on weekdays. And still it gets better. “We’re planning to offer free drinks every night after midnight,” says Steve Calabro, president of Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, boosting July tourism in the region by 500% in one fell swoop.
