No-limit games arrive in Florida poker rooms on July 1

The gloves are coming off at Florida’s 23 licensed poker rooms, where no-limit poker games will get the official go-ahead from state regulators on July 1. Given that Florida was one of the states hardest hit by the subprime mortgage meltdown, could this be a canny move by state legislators to encourage poker pros to buy up some of those vacant houses in order to have a shorter commute to the poker action? Of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t remind players that your living room (or wherever else you keep your computer) will always be closer. Read more.
