Hong Kong police make ‘record’ arrest of gambling ring

The World Cup sure has given a new sense of purpose to police departments across Asia. Given the breadth and scale of their efforts, it’s hard to imagine (a) what they did before the World Cup began, and (b) what amount of real crimes are being perpetrated by real criminals while the cops are busy showing red cards to footie fans. The latest tally on the police ledger was bagged in Hong Kong, in what police are calling ‘a record for a single raid.’ Read more.
