MMA fighter Mike Swick choked out of WSOP Event #42

Despite nursing a fighting injury that left him unable to fully extend his arm, mixed martial artist Mike Swick very nearly defeated all 2,521 entrants in Event #42 at the World Series of Poker. Alas, despite his opponents’ physical conditioning being somewhat anemic, Swick couldn’t finish higher than tenth place. Still, he earned almost $35K for his troubles, undoubtedly more than he’s ever earned for a single fight in Dana White’s Octagon. Read more.
