California’s online poker plan tweaked to benefit operators
California State Senator Rod Wright has rejigged his bill aimed at creating a legal instrastate online poker regime. The changes would reduce the amount of gross revenue that sanctioned operators would remit to the state from 20% to ‘at least’ 10%, and increase the length of licenses granted from five to 20 years. Anti-gambling types are complaining that they hadn’t yet finished lambasting the original plan, and now they have to rejig their arguments to fit Wright’s new scheme.
