New Zealand court rules in favour of online poker and tournaments

The Australian government may have rejected the recommendations of a report suggesting it ease its restrictions of gambling, but not everyone is living in the Dark Ages Down Under. Across the water in New Zealand a court has ruled in favour of online poker, deciding that .net advertisements are not promotions for gambling operators and that poker tournaments themselves are not gambling but a form of competition.
