Microgaming raises game with bumper poker profits

Microgaming boosted by poker resultsSo successful has poker been for Microgame that the Italian gaming giant recorded a 151% year-on-year increase in full-year net profit to €11.8m, from €4.7m in 2009. More Macro than Micro. Mind you, poker constituted 60% of the €1bn of the gaming turnover and with the Italian Gaming Authority having decided to ban the public gaming terminals that have done so well for them, the storm clouds could soon be gathering on te horizon.
