888 expects ‘significantly lower’ full year profit

UK firm 888 is warning market watchers that it expects full year profit to be well below earlier estimates. Contributing to the drop is an 18% decrease in daily avg. poker players, the weakness of both pound and euro, and dragons — huge, fire breathing dragons. Okay, that last one’s a joke, but they won’t be laughing down at the 888 offices, where the downturn will likely only add momentum to the planned cull of employees. Read more.
