Server-based slots loved by Vegas casino execs, loathed by players

In the same way that the iPhone/iPad’s lack of a built-in physical keyboard gives its programmers a greater degree of flexibility, server-based slot machines (once they’re installed) allow operators to make wholesale changes to their offering with a minimum of disruption to their gaming floors. But judging by the disruption in the linked article’s comments section, it’s clear these sentiments aren’t necessarily shared by the slot-playing public.
