With Harrah’s decision to put its Las Vegas Rio property on the auction block, what ramifications will this have for the World Series of Poker, which the Rio has hosted for years? While the 2010 event will remain Rio-bound, it’s anybody’s guess as to where the 2011 contest will take place, but I hear the Bodog compound in Costa Rica is quite the swanky venue. With the total number of WSOP entrants ranging in the mid-thousands, it might get a little crowded in the compound, but I’m sure players wouldn’t mind squeezing into the grotto. Read more.
