I'm really amazed that you guys would publish this type of shit! And I am even more amazed that you titled it what you did!

Even if they did in fact clean up their affiliate program model…what about all of the players that are still owed in the hundreds of thousands of dollars from their Rogue Ass Casinos?

And then on top of that the new affiliate manager Marty there shows up at Casinomeister and makes a post about how great sliced bread is and then simply phucking disappears, so Bryan then makes a post basically asking him WTF!!

    http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/online-casi…

What are you guys here thinking?

    Publish this!!

We are a pro industry site. That said we let our reporters have a wide range in their opinions and their opinions are not necessarily ours. We welcome spirited debate and hopefully others will come in here and flesh this out.

    Welcome to the site.

I should add that in this case, after reading this again, this is actually only a summary of this article:

    http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/gambling…

So this is not necessarily the opinion of Mr McKenna either. But I am interested in the opinions of other readers on Gambling Wages attempts to turn things around.

Thanks for engaging Calvin, I understand that it's only a summary written by Mark but the fact of the matter is, Mark might as well have been promoting them himself with that particular summary. I think if Mark truly had a clue (no disrespect meant there Mark) about who this group really is and their shady ass history over the past as far as stiffing players and not paying out legitimate winnings to those that did if fact win there, then he would understand better and have a clear picture here that he might as well be promoting Osama Bin Laden bro!

Here's a short recap of what I posted over at Casinomeister regarding why this is so wrong in more ways that one….

    So lets see here…..

We have Cap (casinoaffiliateprograms.com) of course endorsing them and their program…can't really expect much more from those boys!

We have Calvin Ayre basically endorsing them as well by publishing the article with that title in the headline….(you guys should have added a disclaimer to the headline) at the very least….tells me you guys are totally out of touch with what really goes on in this industry…

And on top of all that…the Casinomeister Banner there above the article like a neon star…. Bryan Bailey has had this group and their casinos rogued for years now for the very exact reasons that I explained above…

So, lets imagine for a moment that a newbie affiliate sees and reads all of this….would they sign-up and start promoting the Gambling Wages program?

I say hell yea they would, with all of those factors above in the article summary, the article itself, your title endorsement here and that Casinomeister banner floating above it all figured into the equation and the industry clout that Casinomeister, Calvin Ayre and Cap all three carry….someone give me one, just one good reason why a new (newbie) affiliate would not sign-up and start promoting them?

More new players sign-up thru newbie affiliate and it all starts over again. Just because they have this new affiliate manager there, really don't mean jack-shite…that's an old story just being played out on a new day….the casino's ownership has not changed and most likely never will…

I rest my case your honor ;)

Honest to Gawd, I am amazed at the depths people in this industry will go to for money.

Since almost day one in the on line industry, Gambling Wages/Virtual have been cheating players and affiliates left and right. They have promised to turn over a new leaf so many times the tree has no more leaves.

Every time they pop up with this line of we are changed, give us a chance, etc., new players and affiliates start the same cycle again. The fact that they are offering a 50% affiliate bonus should be a red flag to everyone in the affiliate world.

They owe many players thousands of dollars, they will never pay up, just ignore them. And, the affiliates still make money off the “marks” (players).

You are doing a real disservice to the industry by giving them credence here, IMO.

  • gowildlaurie

Ditto what Rob posted Calvin, this is a group that has hurt so many players in the past and continues to this day. The better affiliates take care of their players, we dont send them to the sharks with a crapload of No Deposit coupons, there is a such thing as honor, even within the affiliate circle.

These pages carry some serious juice so I’m glad the article and subject can be debated here. Yes, someone we know met Amit Jayn (sp?) at a conference a month or so ago and he is still running the Virtual show. Any affiliate who promotes these thieves is a partner in crime, an accomplice to theft. Slander? No, fact.

For those who may be wondering, and to any affiliate who is thinking of promoting these guys please note that a year and a half ago or so one Robert Greene got in over his head trying to do just what Marty Davis is trying to do now. It didn’t work. They will never change so don’t be a sucker. It’s criminal to steal money from the unwitting isn’t it?

Thanks for fleshing this out for us. In answer to your question….one reason a newbie would not sign up is our allowing discussion on content published here so you are able to give this balance. A second reason is I assume, if a new person has any chance of surviving, that they are smart enough to do some research and not just jump.

I also do not agree that a summary with a clear link to source is necessarily an endorsement by us. In this case I assume you are on this site and not the source site because you think you will have a better chance of getting your points out so from that perspective we may have helped by doing this.

I do agree that not all the writers we have understand everything they summarize. What we want to do is bring everything here for open debate and this is a sign of success in this. You have actually educated me on this stuff actually as I was not aware of all of this either, though Becky did give me some background before I posted.

    Thanks for sharing with us.

  • http://www.thegamblinggurus.com TheGamblingGuru

I think in that perspective you have helped the cause here Calvin and also the exact reason why I'm here and not at the source site. Had to give up on that site years ago, they refuse to remove their blinders. Also, I appreciate you allowing my candid comments and rebuttal and hearing us out here too and keeping an open mind while doing so. Becky is a good girl fer sure :) And again thanks Calvin, for engaging with us here. It is very much appreciated.

Gambling Wages, and the rogue casinos they promote, are nothing but a BIG BLACK EYE to the online gaming industry!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Dave-Sawyer/756279261 Dave Sawyer

I also received this press release from Lyceum Media and published it in full on my forum on Online Casino Reviewer. However I have to say that the initial story concerning this on Calvin Ayre is very misleading.

Virtual have a very chequered history regards player issues. The way this story is worded with the link to CAP ( Who are actively working with GW – GW are one of their sponsors ) would I am afraid lead more unsuspecting players to the slaughterhouse.

Don't believe me? Then just do a search on CasinoMeister for anything Virtual Casino Related. Indeed, do a google search for Virtual Casino Rogue. Then you will get a fuller and much clearer picture.

Until such time that the Virtual Casino Group clear up and resolve all outstanding player issues ( There are countless ), then IMO they should be afforded no positive publicity.

Thank you!! :) I do know the shady history of GW from my days at Casino City and GPWA, but I must say that Marty Davis is AWESOME and I'm delighted that he's back in the iGaming world. I missed him a lot and hopefully he can help GW turn things around…

I think the end may come out of all this for Marty
This is bad news for Gambling Wages

Well Becky, looks like he has already bailed out from CasinoMeister. One post and *whoosh* gone, never to be seen again.

If I was Marty I would look for a job with a decent employer.

    [Copied from my facebook page]

I agree with Steve. Where is the list of these player/affiliates that needs to be paid? First order of business is to have a central list then we check to see the progress of it and go from there with the next step. Otherwise what's the use?

  • Joeyl

Too many to mention Gamgirl. It's a decade long mo along with specific disputes that need to change I'm afraid.

Now, if Calvin wants to do something helpful instead of waffling us with the “provide a venue to talk about it” line, maybe he could go buy Virtual and do us all a favour.

It would be a pro industry move of reasonable proportion.

    Cheers.

  • lojo_yeah

Thank you to the moderator for editing my first comment. What was removed was a google search string showing hundreds of negative comments and complaints about Virtual casinos i.e gambling wages. I wasn't aware live urls were not allowed. My apologies.

  • The Saint

It doesn't matter whether this article appears here on in a local newspaper, the fact is it is relevant information about an afiliate program.
Whether it has done more good than bad for the brand is a separate issue and calvinayre.com has done nothing wrong.
Almost every online casino has a chequered past and done things that have either not been found out or in GW's case been caught and reprehended.
However, with the appointment of Marty Davis and others the worm might be turning, only time will tell and only discussion with GW will determine if they are being serious. No point making a hoohaah over something when players dont seem to be complaining about the Virtual Group at the moment and things seem to be normalising there. This is all down to how much Virtual are prepared to spend on legitimising themselves. Most people here jump on the bandwagon for personal reasons and are looking for some kind of payout and the best way, in my opinion is to go to the new management and seek what is rightfully theirs rather than being so negative and thinking it is a hopeless case.

  • http://CalvinAyre.com Calvin Ayre

    Few things.

Lojo…I was not aware links to reputable content were not allowed either…I will follow up on that to see why they were edited out.

JoeyI….dude…be my guest and get your own check book out if you think thats a good plan. I am in the media business and what we do is allow discussions that will benefit the industry. When I do charity its to poor people not online gaming companies…you can see more of this here:

    CalvinAyreFoundation.org

Lastly…I will repeat, we are a place to discuss industry issues. We are not going to censor legitimate stories so you will continue to see things published on here that you disagree with. Anything that is published by a major site that seems interesting will be brought over here for discussion. It is up to you guys to get your points out here to round out the story.

  • http://CalvinAyre.com Calvin Ayre

specifically…I was not aware we did not allow URLs to legitimate sites either…meaning we should not be. Let me follow up on this.

  • lojo_yeah

With all due respect Sir, regardless of the 'source' this is not a legitimate story. It is a marketing ruse and part of their business model. They rip off players until their corrals get empty then they 'turn over a new leaf' to recruit more sheep to sheer. J Todd and the APCW were taken for a ride a year or so ago by the marty davis of the time, robert green, and now we see it happening again. I fell for it when they were on rogue probation with casinomeister, I won't fall for it again.

Hello all. I oversee the Social Media and SEO for CalvinAyre.com. A junior member of our content admin department mistakenly removed the link, as they thought it was spam. If you post it again I will ensure that it goes live. In the future if you have any problems with commenting or how the site functions, send me an email adrian@nudefishmedia.com

I'm here to help and ensure the conversation flows. Cheers all!

  • http://CalvinAyre.com Calvin Ayre

You should be happy to be able to get this out here then. This must be a legitimate story or nobody would be debating it here. If any other major site publishes something, it is fair game for us to bring it here and let others respond. We are not going to be censoring the internet for sure and we are selective in any content screening here. The only exception is guys who do not belong in this industry trying to cause trouble.

I have posted the following at Casinomeister and also my own forum on Online Casino Reviewer – I feel it is relevant to post here as well, as it refers directly to the initial article on Calvin Ayre.com – ( My handle on CM is Webzcas )

” A couple of things Becky.

The way the article is written on Calvin Ayre actually comes across as giving credence to Gambling Wages. Were it not for the people commenting on it, then anyone coming across the article, who had not heard of Virtual and their history, would think GREAT! A good to go casino I can play at..

Poor sensationalist journalism and no different to the garbage press release which Lyceum Media sent out.

Secondly, whilst Marty might be a great guy, he obviously hasn't done his research thoroughly. If he had, he would realise he is one of many affiliate managers that have tried but failed to turn Gambling Wages and Virtual Casino Group around.

My own view is, is that Virtual need to sort out ALL existing player issues before being afforded any kind of publicity or carrot to do so.

By the way kudos to CalvinAyre.com for approving the comments on that article. “

I will also add here, that if you perform a google search for 'Virtual Casino Blacklisted' you will find that numerous portals have them blacklisted, not recommended and rogued. Including many sites run by 'Super Affiliates'.

This is why, you are getting a lot of comments on the article here on CalvinAyre.com. Because the way it has been written and the hype afforded to Virtual, will make many an unsuspecting player unaware of their chequered history, believe they are player friendly and a good place to play at.

The google link is here ( Mod please approve as very relevant to the discussion ):
