Not everyone’s a fan of Betfair, but you have to say they’ve got a good business model. When it comes to betting exchanges, liquidity is key and the Hammersmith-based website has liquidity in spades – and I’m not just taliing about their poker site. Betfair processes six million transactions a day, has trebled revenues in the last five years and this week welcomed its three millionth customer. No wonder it’s about to go public. Read more.
