Illinois has been biting off its nose to spite its face for a while now. Last summer lawmakers in the state passed a bill to enable bars and similar establishments to host video lottery machines – provided the local jurisdiction legalized gaming in the state. But of course, many of those municipalities decided to persevere with the ban. And funnily enough Illinois still has a large budget deficit. Now a push is being planned to bring video slots to racetracks around the state, where obviously gambling is allowed. Let’s see if the local authorities can somehow lampoon this cash cow as well.
