Facebook ups ante in war with Google for web domination

StaredownAt its most recent developers conference, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg stated that ‘the web was at a turning point’ and he expects it to turn in his direction, and away from arch-rival Google. Zuckerberg’s contention is that direction-finding on the web will increasingly be steered by recommendations from one’s social network, which would put his company in the driver’s seat. They’re the two biggest kids on the web block, so they’re bound to continue duking it out until one emerges victorious. Read more.
